We can only thrive when we’re authentically connected to ourselves, and one another. November 07, 2014 Grappone Automotive Group “We can only thrive when we’re authentically connected to ourselves, and one another.” These words, full of intention and wisdom, express the world-view of a fourth-generation family business owner from New Hampshire. These are the words of Amanda Grappone Osmer, who is leading the charge to reinvent the way that business is done. According to Grappone Automotive’s mission statement, shared values of integrity, kindness and respect are put into action with every aspect of hiring, coaching and training team members with the intent to make it a ‘learning organization.’ In her own words, Osmer has dedicated herself to trying to create a safe, stable environment in which her team can identify and work toward their own potential. Her philosophy, from a business perspective, is that “it makes all the sense in the world to eliminate waste and honor the person doing the work in the name of delivering value to the end user.” Osmer brings a certain level of authenticity to her role within their organization, from promoting team-building activities, such as ‘Boat to Work Day,’ to admittedly enjoying what she calls “one-minute vacations” and encouraging others to join in doing the same. Although helping to run the Grappone family business is a top priority, it’s evident that taking care of people is number one. Consider this firsthand account from one …

In October of 2013 Ellen DeGeneres had a guest on the show, Sarah Hoidahl. Sarah is a local waitress from Ruby Tuesday’s in Concord. The excitement about this young lady all began when she paid a bill for one of her tables at the restaurant. Two National Guard members had sat down for a meal and this was at the time of the government shut down. Sarah decided to surprise the two patrons by paying for their meal because “Thanks to the gov shutdown the people like you that protect this country are not getting paid. However I still am. Lunch is on me! Thank you for serving ladies! Have a great day! – Sarah” That was the note she left them.   This was a very kind gesture on her part, especially since Sarah has a child of her own to take care of. If you ever met Sarah you wouldn’t find it hard to believe that she would do something like this. Sarah is a genuine and kind person and you realize that with in moments of meeting her. Ellen gave Sarah $10,000 and later on surprised her with a car. Today Sarah is at Grappone Hyundai picking up her 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport that Ellen had given her. The black family-friendly crossover will help make Sarah’s life easier. She will no longer have to share a car with her mother, who was the one that dropped …

Hyundai has added some new features to the 2014 Hyundai Tucson. Previously on the Tucson you had a choice between cargo rails on the roof or a panoramic sunroof. Now, the 2014 model allows you to have both features. The Tucson allows key less entry so you don’t have to fumble around looking for your keys,  and a push to start button. During cold New England winters the Tucson’s key less entry will come in handy. The 2014 Hyundai Tucson features a GDi engine which stands for Gas Direct Injection. This system helps you to have better fuel economy and get more power. You also have the active eco feature which gives you up to 7% better fuel economy on your daily commute. Hyundai also made sure to add great tech features in the interior of the Tucson. There is a touch screen, heated seats, a navigation system, a back up camera, blue tooth, controls on your steering wheel. Hyundai also gives you 3 years of Blue Link which was not featured in the 2013 model. Blue Link is used for road side assistance, SOS emergency and vehicle diagnostics.
