NH Scholars Day 2017

Thursday, May 18th set record high temperatures in the Granite State, however it made for a perfect day to spend at the Northeast Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester, NH. The New Hampshire Department of Education (NHDOE) and the New Hampshire College and University Council (NHCUC) work together as a partnership to support the New Hampshire Scholars Program. NH Scholars Day is an annual celebration held at the stadium. The event brings together thousands of high school seniors across the state to celebrate their academic achievements and upcoming commencement.

Grappone Automotive Group was proud to sponsor this year’s NH Scholars Day. It may not seem like a big deal, however sponsoring bus transportation for this event allowed for thousands of well-deserving high school students to attend. Sarah, our Corporate Communications Specialist, teamed up with a group of volunteers, including Beth San Soucie, Program Manager at Stay Work Play. The goal was to make connections with students and discuss their plans after graduation. This information allows Stay Work Play to carry out their mission to, “work collaboratively across New Hampshire to support ongoing economic, workforce, and community development by promoting the state as a favorable place for young workers and recent college graduates to stay, work, and play, when considering employment and lifestyle opportunities.” The NH Scholars ceremony is an annual event, which is always followed by a Fishercats game!
